Kevin-Prince Boateng, Spieler des AC Mailand, hat manchmal eine angsteinflößende Wirkung, was unter anderem an seinen Tätowierungen liegt. Sein ganzer Körper ist mit verschiedenen Nachrichten versehen, aber man könnte auch meinen, dass er sich seinen Personalausweis hat stechen lassen, denn Name, Geburtsort und viele weitere persönliche Daten trägt er mit sich.
David Beckham gehört natürlich zu den Top-Tätowierten Spielern, mit über 20 Tattoos verschiedenster Motive. Diese erzählen schon auf eine Art sein Leben. Ein Kunstwerk das lebt. Aber auch Federico Marchetti, Nationalspieler von Italien zeigt, was er hat. Auf seinem Arm steht „Ave Maria“. Dieses Tattoo hat er sich stechen lassen, nachdem er im Jahr 2005 einen schweren Unfall mit dem Auto hatte.
„Marcelo“ dies ist der Name des Kinderportraits, das Marcelinho auf seiner Brust trägt. Der Spitzenspieler in Brasilien trägt aber noch weitere Tattoos. Das Portrait zeigt ihn übrigens selbst. Der Name leitet sich von seinem richtigen ab, dieser lautet „Marcelo dos Santos“.
Kaum noch Haut ohne Tätowierung ist bei Dibril Cisse, dem französischen Nationalspieler zu sehen. Er hat so viele Tätowierungen auf seinem Körper, dass man glauben könnte, dass nirgends mehr seine wahre Haut zu sehen ist.
Vielen Namen lesen sich bei Wayne Rooney, dem Torjäger aus England. Bei ihm lesen wird die Namen seiner Frau, seines Sohnes und sogar von seinem Lieblingsalbum „Stereophonics“. Warum er alle Namen auf seinem Körper tätowieren lässt, weiß man nicht, aber vielleicht, damit er nichts vergisst, das wichtig ist.
Etwas verrückt ist wohl auch die Tätowierung von Marco Materazzi mit „Berlin 09.07.2006“. Dies ist das Datum des WM Finales, das Italien gewonnen hatte und somit als Weltmeister vom ging.
Bei den Deutschen Fußballstars scheint es aber weniger auffällig zu sein, wie bei Marcel Jansen (Hamburger SV) zu sehen. Er trägt auf seinem Unteratm nur sein Sternzeichen, einen Skorpion. Auch bei Thorsten Frings von Werder Bremen ist das Tattoo noch vergleichsweise dezent. Auf seinem Arm sieht man ein großes Tribal. Er hat weitere Tätowierungen, aber als Kunstwerk läuft er nicht auf den Platz.
Es gibt viele Fußballer, die sehr viele Tätowierungen tragen. Andere dagegen tragen nur sehr wenige und dann auch aussagefähige. Lassen sich zwar manche Tattoos nicht ganz erkennen, weil sie von anderen Motiven überschattet werden, wissen aber zumindest die Stars, welche Bedeutungen die Motive haben. Aber es sind nicht immer nur Tattoos mit Bedeutungen. Es gibt natürlich auch die Motive, die einfach nur toll aussehen und „just for fun“ gestochen worden sind.
Aber es spielt eigentlich auch keine Rolle, welche Tattoos die Stars tragen, interessanter scheint viel mehr zu sein, wann es wieder neue Tätowierungen zu sehen gibt über die dann gemunkelt wird, was sie bedeuten könnten. Viele Fußballer haben auch sehr plausible Erklärungen für die Kunstwerke und Schriftzüge auf ihren Körpern, wie an Marchetti zu sehen ist.
