International gesehen war es ein Aufreger, dass die Gattin des deutschen Bundespräsidenten Christian Wulff zeigt, dass sie ein schwarzes Tattoo auf ihrem Oberarm trägt. Aber dennoch fanden dies viele auch gar nicht tragisch, denn warum soll sich eine Politikerfrau nicht tätowieren dürfen?
Gerade bei den Deutschen kommen die Tattoos der Promis und bekannten Personen gut an. Zwar ist es nicht mehr das Steiß-Tribal, dass unbedingt begeistert, denn dieses wird heute nur noch wenig gewünscht, aber die Körper der Fußballer, Sänger und Schauspieler zeigen auch genug andere Motive, die ein Anreiz sind.
Zu erkennen ist der Trend zu Tätowierungen auch daran, dass die Anzahl der Tattoostudios hierzulande steigt. Der Verein der Deutschen Organisierten Tätowierer, kurz DOT, registriert derzeit 5000 Studios und die Tendenz ist steigend.
Aber die Insider der Branche unterscheiden zwischen zwei Kundenarten. So gehören die einen in die Kategorie jener, die irreversible Motive als Accessoire der Mode ansehen und die anderen in die Kategorie der Kunden, die „wirklich ein Tattoo wollen“, wie einer der DOT Vorstände sagte. Personen, die ein Tattoo als Mode wollen, entscheiden sich für dezente Motive wie kleine Sternchen oder auch Schriftzüge, wie es auch an einigen Stars zu sehen ist. Liebhaber von Tattoos haben ganz andere Wünsche, wie es immer wieder an Fußball Stars zu sehen ist, beispielsweise David Beckham , der zu jenen gehört, die wohl die meisten Tattoos tragen. Eine Vielzahl Fußballspieler gehören zu der Personengruppe, die ausgefallene und kunstvolle Tätowierungen wünschen. Daneben gibt es auch jene, die zu beiden Kategorien gehören und sowohl Schriftzüge und andere einfacherer Motive als auch große Kunstwerke haben stechen lassen.
Aber auch unter den Tätowierern gibt es geteilte Meinungen. So sehen sich einige als Dienstleister oder Handwerker, denen es nichts ausmacht, noch so viele Sternchen zu tätowieren. Andere wiederum sehen sich als eine Art Künstler. Für diese sind solche Motive wie eine Art Beleidigung. Diese ziehen dann sogar auch die Notbremse und zeigen, wie auf der Convention , der internationale Messe der Tätowierer zu sehen war, dass sie keine Sternchen mehr tätowieren.
Bei Tätowierungen sind aber keine Grenzen gesetzt und auch das zeigt sich immer wieder, wenn Stars, Promis und Kicker ihre Körper so präsentieren, dass die Tätowierungen problemlos zu sehen sind. Einige gehen sogar in die Vollen und lassen sich bis auf ein paar wenige Körperteile als komplettes lebendes Kunstwerk stechen. Teilweise sind die Motive zwar kaum erkennbar, aber man selbst weiß schließlich, worum es sich handelt und welche Bedeutung die einzelnen Motive auf dem Körper zu bedeuten haben.
In den Tattoostudios ist immer wieder festzustellen, dass die Menschen mit Motivbildern kommen, die eigentlich zu einem Star gehören. Sie gelten als Vorbilder, denn wenn die in der Öffentlichkeit stehenden Personen sich so zeigen können, dann kann es auch jede andere natürlich Person, die nicht zu den Fußballern, Schauspielern oder Sängern gehört.
